PEDS PREP program overview
The Missouri Peds PREP program (Pediatric Prehospital Readiness and Excellence program) is Missouri’s only pre-hospital certification program to ensure that both EMS and fire agencies are up to national standards for pediatric care. Peds PREP certifies EMS/fire agencies on multiple levels, including equipment, hands on training, education, and community resources. If your agency is ready to become pediatric certified please email leedani@umsystem.edu
Missouri Peds PREP program offers free monthly pediatric education the last wednesday of the month. Please check the EMSC calendar for all training events. EMSC is partnered with Prodigy EMS for all virtual training www.prodigyems.com

Joe Finney, MD, is a Washington University pediatric emergency medicine and EMS physician. He serves as the director of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at St. Louis Children's Hospital. He is one of very few physicians in the U.S. specializing in both Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Dr. Finney is committed to simplifying the prehospital care of children through interactive education, research, and quality improvement.
